fucking router

is pissing me off. Does anyone out there know why my internet would be shutting off about every hour? I have to go down to my grandpa's house where the modem and router are, unplug the router, wait a minute, plug it back in and then I get service for about an hour until it all shuts down again. Comcast says it's not them and it must not be because it does work sometimes. They say the router is messed up. How do I fix this. I am going to kick someone in the balls if it is not fixed soon.
