Go hawks

I am off to the football game. Yesterday I was hungover as all hell, thought I was going to die, and had to do my apartment walk thru. Then Allan and I bought me a bed. Queen. My first bed, I suppose, since the others have all been like my one at home growing up. We moved it into my new room and then went tot he Puyallup Fair. Allan won a ball-rolling game and got us a neon beer sign for our living room. Then we hung out at Gloria's, and this girl who didn't even work there started clearing tables and took my drink which I had JUST got, hadn't even drank at all. So i asked her extremely politely where it was, and she flipped out and started telling me I could get out and go home. Keep in mind she doesn't even work there. So Laura the peacemaker is telling me that she is not worth it, don't freak, walk away, so I do, and I am talking to Laura and say "Let's go find Bill and Allan and go home" and bitch girl says "You do that, slut" and Laura, being very protective of me, turns around and says "excuse me?" and bitch says "You can go too, whore. and find yourself a hair dresser." This all considering Laura JUST got a haircut and it is very cute. Bitch girl, though, is fat, had greasy hair, and was ugly as sin, so we just left. Apparently the guys are even scared of her since she is fat and can beat up anyone, so I thought it best not to throw a punch. Ok, off the the hawks game with allan. Tomorrow I get my first prisoners!

New work, etc

I'm almost done with my first week of work. This week was planning week and boring meetings week. Monday I get my inmate-students. Yesterday I got my Edmonds Community College Faculty badge. That was weird. They looked at me like, oops, you checked the faculty box instead of the student box, better redo it. And I give them the "I know I look 18 but I am faculty, you ass" look so they gave me my college instructor badge. sweet. Teaching for a college. Feeling pretty cool. I move into an apartment with allan and laura saturday and start my 1230 to 830 hours on monday, thank God. Cause at noon it takes 40 minutes to get to work. At 8, like all this DAMN WEEK, has taken me an hour and a half each way, nearly shot myself in the head til I realized I had no gun. Bad news. Let's see....saturday we are going to the fair, sunday allan and I are going to the seahawks game, and sunday night pool league starts. lots to do. And I am travelling alone in november to vietnam...tried to refund my ticket one last time but there is no hope, so I guess that's the plan. That's about it. oh, and my inmates are all male, maximum security, ranging in age from 18 to death. I'm sick of answering that questions (not that I mind people being interested, just sick of that question). There ya go.

Leaving P-Town

So sorry it's been like a week and a half. I was in Sitka for almost a week for Mudball. We sucked some royal ass at softball, but let me tell you, our drinking team, had there been a competition, would have kicked some booty. It was a good time. I just worked nonstop from last Tuesday when we got back til yesterday, Monday. Today was my one day off to pack and stuff, and tomorrow I leave for Seattle. I am apartment shopping with Laura from Wrangell, and maybe Allan. We wanna live in Kent. We found a nice place that includes a fitness center and a couple pools, which would be awesome. We have an appointment to look around on Friday. I took the prison job. It starts Monday. The commute from Maple Valley is an hour; I'm hoping that from Kent it will be shorter, like 45 minutes. That is how long it took me to get to Renton last sememster for student teaching, it's not so bad. That's about it. I'm kinda sad to be leaving, actually. I think I could ALMOST handle all winter here cause I have good friends. Oh well maybe another winter. I must teach convicts this winter. I'll give frequent updates on the happenings within he prison walls :)
