Job

I'm currently trying to make a decision about what I will do this year...the plan was sub, maybe bartend on the side...but now I have a job offer for over 40,000 for three quarters, teaching GED to inmates at the prison in Monroe. The problem is that it is an hour commute each way. I'd have to get up at like 5 every day....but I might take it. I just don't want to get trapped into working for the rest of my life yet...I'm 23, I have lots of travelling and living in random places to do still.

Vietnam

I can't remember what I have written about lately, but if I haven't already said it, I am going to Vietnam in November! For two weeks. Zieak, Cena, Ailis, me, Levy, Seth, and Mike are confirmed guests. That's awesome. I have a shitty shitty trip back, hitting like 35 stops, ok really just 5, but at least I will see lots of places. I fly from Ho Chi Mihn City to Singapore, spend a few hours there, then fly to Jakarta, spend a few hours there, then to Tokyo, spend 12 hours there, then fly to Hawaii, spend 6 hours there, then to Seattle. Luckily the Tokyo hours are 8 am to 8 pm so I can go explore hopefully. Last night at the Elks I met a guy who fishes here in the summers and lives in Honolulu in the winter so he said he would take me to the beach in Hawaii to kill time if I want. I'm not allowed to go out of the airport in Jakarta, says mom and various friends, cause they like to mug people in taxis and beat them up. I'm gonna see if it is possible to redo my ticket and do an Ailis-style straight shot there and back, but if not, it's ok. I'm just happy to get to go!

Busy Busy Busy

I've been slacking again, cause I have too damn many jobs. I worked all day for Chelan yesterday, from 7 to 4 then went to the Elks at 5 to bartend. Usually we are done and closed by 930 or 10, but wouldn't you know it, the owner/manager/whatever his title is was there drinking and we were there til 1230, cause how do you go about kicking out the head honcho? You don't. You stay. Now I am at the Church job, and go straight to Java Hus after this. Luckily I talked my way out of working tonight so I can go to the Friday night weekly gathering...it might be beer pong this week, if we can get organized. Doesn't really matter though, I just want to be there, cause I am ALWAYS showing up three hours late and I miss everything and everyoen and everyone is drunk by the time I get there. So tonight I get to hang out with my friends finally.

visitor

sorry it's been almost a week...I have a friend up here visiting from seattle! His name is Allan. And yes, he has a girl in Seattle, and is just my friend, since that is everyone's first question, nosy people. Thursday I had to work at the Elks so he hung out there all night. Friday we drove out the road and looked at places and looked for animals. Saturday we had softball against Wrangell all day. Sunday we went upriver. The weather could not have been better since he got here. It is totally beautiful and he even got burned upriver yesterday! I have to work til 6:30 today which SUCKS and maybe even tuesday and wednesday, and he leaves thursday so that totally sucks cause I want to be able to hang out! My brother might take him fishing today, we will see.

I didn't fuck anything up on my first night as a bartender all by myself....I was left to fend for myself at the elks...haha i just typed "elfs" on accident...and I had 9 whole customers all night. But i did make over 50 bucks in tips from my 9 customers. They tip much better at the elks than at kitos, that's for sure. I made my mom and irene come up cause I was bored, and not ten minutes later who walks in but my dad and uncle bruce, who is in town til tomorrow for Benji Lucas's service. sheesh of all the luck....poor mom. haha.

makes me angry...

It is damn annoying that alaska airlines charges one cent a mile to transfer miles from one person to another. I am about to transfer 30,000 miles from my dad's account to mine, and if my five years of college has paid off, that is 300 bucks. still cheaper, I suppose, than buying a ticket to Vietnam, but still. Sheesh.

sitcom/drama

I can't decide which my life has been like lately. Situation comedy? drama? both, I think, in a weird hybrid show. starting with my return from mexico, my life has just been weird. not a very descriptive word, but weird is all I can think of. Ridiculous works too. And my work schedule is just weird too. 5 jobs, yet the middle of my day is empty and I live at the gym. However, I have lost 10 pounds in 5 weeks so this schedule is working well for me for now. 6 more weeks in town...

Girl's night...

Zieak is out of town, so Cena, Ailis and I hung out last night. We went on a bike ride, stopped at kito's so they could eat, and then went to Cena's so we could watch a movie. We wanted Now and Then, a simply amazing movie, but the unorganized movie rental place couldn't find it. We watched Empire Records instead...which is fine cause I had never seen it, and I feel like it's one of those movies everyone has to see. IT took us forever to get the projector working but Zieak walked Cena through it and she got it....then me and Ailis had to ride our bikes home at like midnight haha. That was fun. Now I'm back at work...clearly being productive...hmmm what else...I did nothing but work and work out yesterday. I walked the dogs, then spent two hours at the gym, then went for an hour long bike ride with the girls. Good stuff.
