yay

the lady who hit me FINALLY called the insurance people back, wait that;s a lie, they had to stalk her to work, she's trying to avoid this all and they wouldn't answer my phone calls either cause they had my number, but liability was confirmed and my car is going in at 3:30 today and i am getting my rental. although I love my car, rentals are pretty fun. driving something new for a change. Now I just have to hope the repair costs don't exceed the value of the car or they'll total it out. lame. one last hurdle to jump! oh and Carli, if you ever read this anymore, I love you. and sarah. ptown insurance rocks.

one positive note

I did get to see brita. her, dyl, and annikki kandoll and I went to the sonics game the other night. totally fun and I got a free shirt. I'll post pictures.

I think this is pointless

lots of things are pointless. this blog, for instance. the only people who read it are zieak, cena, and my mom. if I'm wrong, please tell me so I feel like I have some importance in life. Trying to make the wireless work in this apartment is also pointless. The signal is perfect, I've bought three routers now and there is no way they are ALL faulty, yet the page will not load. full signal and everything. pointless. Trying to get warm in this weather is also pointless. Trying to go to school (which i didn't tonight) is also pointless as traffic is moving on 405 at approximately 8 mph. pointless. trying to get Seahawks tickets for less that $150 (that are not nosebleed seats) is also pointless. I am having a negative-outlook-on-life day. I think I hate being in school. I hate doing homework. I don't even wanna teach next year. I havent' married a pro athlete yet so I am still $55,000 in debt. Oh yeah, the lottery seems to be pointless too. yeesh.

can't drive in snow

this is seattle, where no one can drive in the snow. There is half an inch here at my house and ALL THE SCHOOLS are closed. sheesh. but on a happy note, MY school is closed so no class tonight! and i missed last tues too cause of the accident. I am destined to not attend school on a tues, ever, apparently. I just tried driving and slid everywhere, apparently South King County does not believe in sanding the roads. this is crap, I am stranded at home in my little aparement. I guess I have NO EXCUSE for not having a spotless apartment and all homework done my tonight, huh.

car accident number 2

they seem to be attracted to me. and they are never my fault. yet I had car wreck number two last night. I was stopped behind a guy who was waiting to turn left across the other lane, and the lady behind me apparently was paying no attention and plowed into me doing 50. ow. I hit the guy in front of me. the firetruck, ambulance, and cop cars all came. Not gonna lie, the firemen were hot. Almost made it worth it :) The lady's car was destroyed. totally crumpled. somehow my wonderful little eclipse held up great and just got a little dented and scratched. it will need new front and rear panels because they are cracked and covered in paint fro mthe other cars and the lights are all cracked but it didn't crumple like i expected. I had to go to the hospital where they gave me muscle relaxers. Today I can hardly move my neck and all my limbs are super sore. I thought I had had whiplash before but I guess not cause my neck is soooo sore. ugh. stupid lady. unfortunately she was really nice and felt terrible so i can't hate her. oh well. hatred is bad. Well at least I got out of going to school last night, which is where I was headed. There's always a silver lining, right?

oh yeah

so the seahawks lost. again. that's four losses on the season. the superbowl is fading into the distance. time to hang nasty notes on the gate of their headquarters which is conveniently right behing the academic building I have all my classes in. I'm sure the gate is made to keep people like me out, but they can't stop me from hanging notes. they are letting me down in a huge sort of way. I'm a new football fan in the last two years, and I picked them to be my one and only. may have to reconsider.

hmmmm

well. i think I have titled a post that same thing lately. lack of words here today. So I just got back from a grueling game of cranium with venise, her bf darren, grandma, pops, uncle dan and jill. highlight? One standout performance, in the "charades" section of the game, which was.....drumroll...grandma acting out "reproduce". oh. my. god. I have never seen such a thing. darren was competing and trying to be a gentleman, as his girlfriend's dad and stepmom were right there, but that was a mistake because he lost those points as there was no mistaking grandma's "reproduction". Humping the air is the most elequently I can put it. venise and I laughed until our stomachs literally hurt. the whole damn fam rolls in this week for thanksgiving. it will be the first time we have all been together (meaning the grandparent, their four kids, and us 8 grandkids) since gaby was 2, and she is now almost 12. crazy. pictures galore, I can tell already. This should be one heck of a family weekend.

I'm ok now. Sorry about the ranting post. I have found five to be the magic internet number, if I want to go online I just unplug and re-plugin the router and other thing, oh gosh I can't even remember what it is called, oh MODEM, five times and then it works. annoying but I guess I gotta do what it wants. My cold seems to be fading a little which is good. I fell asleep at 10:30 last night I was so tired from school and this cold, pathetic on a saturday night huh! Today I will vegetate and watch the seahawks hopefully kick some SanFran ass. Good luck.

A few things

Ugh I am so pissed I am drinking wine by myself. The fucking internet keeps going out even though the comcast people have been here twice, and I finally got it going enough to send in my project due in the morning otherwise I would have been FUCKED. Judging by past actions, I have about ten minutes left before it all shuts down again, so lucky I'm a fast typer or you would get an incomplete post right now. Tonight I saw Borat with my grandpa. Weird movie, good entertainment I guess, but not so fun to watch Borat and his manager totally drunk wrestle/fight when you are with your grandpa. Also, the OJ Simpson book. Creepy. I always wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but this seems to cement his position as a killer. If I did it? what? who would write that? speaking of weird books from bad people, I am ordering "Mein Kampf" from Amazon. Seems like someone in my field would have read, so I am buying it. I like WWII and the Holocaust, so I will self-educate now.

yeesh

for those of you who looked this morning, and I hope none of you did, I used to have a semi-drunken blog post on there which I promptly deleted this morning. Geez. Whoever the anonymous was who told me not to drunken blog, you are right. I apologize. Too much truth in those things. Well, it is blowing up a storm here, I am too sick (with a cold, not a hangover--i only had a couple beers, i swear) to go to the gym, I feel worthless when I don't work out, and I have a big presentation tonight. ugh. So here I am blogging instead, and waiting for the Comcast guy to come out and fix my so-so internet connection. The "he'll be there between 12 and 4" thing...what the !#@?*$&^#??? that is such crap. Now I am housebound for four hours waiting for this guy who will probably show up at 3:58. I am afraid to even get in the shower cause he will probably come and go in that 10 minutes.

I'm pretty damn pissed off again because I have spent the majority, and I am not exaggerating, of the last two days on the phone with or driving to Comcast to figure out what is wrong wit hthe damn internet. a new router and new modem later, it does not work again. all looked good this morning until right now. It gets a signal for about three hours, then dies and I have to unhook EVERYTHING, reset EVERYTHING, plug it all back in and it will work for another two to there hours. fuck that. this is a bunch of shit.
On the other hand, I just got some chai. chai makes me happy. I am sicker than a damn dog, can't breathe, cough all day long, and the internet doesnt work, but chai makes me pretty happy.

fucking router

is pissing me off. Does anyone out there know why my internet would be shutting off about every hour? I have to go down to my grandpa's house where the modem and router are, unplug the router, wait a minute, plug it back in and then I get service for about an hour until it all shuts down again. Comcast says it's not them and it must not be because it does work sometimes. They say the router is messed up. How do I fix this. I am going to kick someone in the balls if it is not fixed soon. On a happier note, me, Kory Versteeg (though I don't think he knows it yet), Laura McCay from Wrangell and Adrienne from Wragell are going to Jingle Bell Bash the 10th of Dec. snow vs flood

well, outta the snow and into the deluge of rain. I preferred alaska. Not so bad here at this moment, but the rain is supposed to come back, roads are closed everywhere, rivers are overflowing their banks...ridiculous! I am currently cleaning out my closet. I need to get rid of the millions of articles of clothes i have not worn in what, like 5 years and still own for some unexplainable reason. I need teacher clothes. My 15 year old male cousin made fun of me for that and said I should buy "lady suits". sheesh. The responsible grown-up thing is unnappealing.

wrangell

Well here i am in petersburg in november, a weird thing for me these days. It's snowing a blizzard, which is cool. With any luck I'll get stuck here tomorrow and miss school tuesday. that would be fun. wrangell was fun. The p-town volleyball team won regionals! They play on thursday night at state against heritage christian. Zieak and Cena came to wrangell to see me, well ok probably to see volleyball but they also saw me, which was fun. Cena was falling asleep at the bar saturday night but we did hang out a little. We just had a birthday party for my mom and gave her her new flatscreen TV. It took us the last hour to hook up but it's cool!
