unfortunate basketball

so, i'm now rocking the crutches and after only 12 hours my armpits are bruised and screaming at me. ugh. I went up for a layup last night playing for the theta team and some little chick tried to stop me, and i landed on her and rolled my ankle over. honestly. stupid short people. I mean come on, i probably weigh twice what she does and am 8 inches taller, disregarding any ability on either of our parts, it is physicall improbable that she could stop me. so now i am gimpy. either sprained or hairline fractured. woohoo. so much for ski class thursday too. suck ass. i am not happy. i did it at the beginning of the second half, walked around and it went away so i played the last 18 minutes, and this morning it wouldn't move. like literally was a brick on the end of my leg. but 6 IB profin later (3 more to come soon), swelling has reduced and i can tentatively drive so i can go to work tomorrow. change of topic, i know there is no sight of carli, but is tiffany (rogers but that's not her last name now) still out there? i miss you!

more basketball

so i am only allowed to play on one team, but i am sneaking onto two...i have my normal division 2 team (Co-ed) and i am secretly playing on the theta team. i had a game for both last night, we play two 20-minute halves, and i NEVER subbed out so i sprinted for 80 minutes straight. i was tired. in the theta game we only have a couple girls who have ever played before so that is always interesting. we lost 41-21 i believe, and i think i had 17 of our points. i even hit a three. take that, dino, who always stuck me in the post.

President's day

three day weekend, woo hoo! actually four cause i never have class friday. I drove to ellensburg yesterday to take the GRE so i can actually get into grad school. I tried to get there thursday night to get a hotel but ALL the highways into ellensburg were closed cause of ice and wrecked semis so we got turned back and i stayed in yakima. yesterday afternoon I came over here to grandpa's and i am spending the weekend hanging here. hopefully i will get to see tyna tomorrow and then go skiing with my cousin belinda, who is a senior in high school, monday before i go back to ww. i was supposed to see my cousin danny too but he got held up on a trip and isn't here yet. that's about all...just getting work done and whatnot. got some sweet drunk texts from zieak in D.C. last night, don't be fooled by his website pictures of him in the tux, he's not usually that classy :)

Humorous basketball

so, Intermural basketball just started, and after much switching around I ditched the Theta team and I am on a team with some other ex-college bball girls. There are three divisions, girls, D1 and D2. D1 and 2 are normally all boys, although co-ed is allowed in d2. Being the bad-ass ballers that we are, we got a couple guys and decided to brave it in d2 instead of playing girls' again. Yesterday was our first game, and wouldn't you know it, our boys quit on us and we had to play our division 2 game with an all girls team. and would't you also know it, the team we were scheduled to play was this team of all black guys from walla walla, not a single one from whitman, we have yet to figure out how they got into whitman intermurals. weird. the one i had to guard is, i am NOT joking nor exaggerating, six foot nine inches tall. it was comical, to say the least. we lost 40 to 71, which sounds like a blow-out i know, but hey they did not expect us to get past 10, so we were pleased. they told us we were good. woohoo. it was great. i stuffed one of them too because they really didn't expect us to be any good and were playing all shitty til we started to prove ourselves. good times.

standardized tests

so, i guess i have like a million tests to take before i can get into my grad school for next year. good thing i found this out YESTERDAY instead of three months ago like i should have. sheesh. i have to take the GRE, the West-B, and the Praxis 2. yay. should make for a fun month of march, then. once i get my computer i will start posting pictures again, so you people will be more excited to read my blog.

damn. they lost. i was so ready for them to win. matte was down here, i drove to seattle, and tyna mccay and my cousin danny met us and we all went out, then julianne met us for dinner later. fun! except that we lost. and zieak and i aren't friends anymore, well, we have a long road to recovery after he informed me that he was rooting for the steelers. loser. that's right, i'm bashing you online to everyone. someone egg his house!
