the river

yesterday me and mika flew up river to camp, but i came back last night cause i didn't know any of her wrangell friends and all the p-town people left. It was fun though, and it was awesome flying in and buzzing the hungover camp and waking everyone up. Today is memorial day, so i think i must have assumed that the framer's loft is closed because my other job, papa bear's, is closed, so i just didn't show up and apparently we ARE open. well, shit. i'm lucky my boss is nice and said it is super slow and she will call me if it gets busy. good work, karna.

Kito's

Well, my resolve to not post about the bar only lasted one day because here is a warning to all you who are thinking of hitting up kito's tonight (friday): I think that almost the whole group listed in the previous post might be headed that direction, since zieak is djing and they haven't been to kito's in years. My family is kinda crazy, so watch out.

The Truth

Zieak said to write the truth, so here is the truth for today: my family is driving me crazy. Not so much the people themselves, i love having them here, but the petersburg version of extreme home makeover started at 8 this morning after i spent all night at operation graduation last night chaperoning (i know, that's scary, me a chaperone). 8:00 AM and the hammering, skill saw, and weedeater are going right outside my bedroom window. I guess they are doing the "get it all done to surprise debbie before she gets back from school this afternoon" thing so they had to start bright and early. Cool for my mom though, complete house overhaul. There is like a billion family members here for graduation too: My mom's dad, mom, stepdad, brother, sister in law, other brother, sister in law and their two kids, along with me, kalen, mom, uncle dale and sage who are already here. That is a lot of people in my house at once. therefore, i am going for a drive or walk or something now to escape the madness. That is the truth for today.

Posting

well, my mom thinks i am an alcoholic from reading my blog, so i will not write anymore about the bar. With that out of my realm of posts, i have no idea what i should write about, but i will try. Kalen is graduating tonight, weird huh. He was a freshman when i was a senior which makes me OLD. oh well. Old enough to go to the bar :) HAHAHA sorry mom. Matte, Brita and Dyl went to wrangell to go golfing today but i couldn't because if i miss graduation, my mother would kill me. For real, probably. Well anyways if anyone has any brilliant ideas of what to post about, let me know.

Thank God mayfest is over

Geez my liver can't take it anymore. It was only three days in a row but it was an intense three days, and my liver is begging for mercy. I haven't been around for mayfest since sophomore year of high school, so it was cool to be here finally. I know more of the class of '95 than i thought, so it's cool to see all them too. But seriously, I'm thinking of retiring from the bar scene after a short 7 month career.

TJ's 21st birthday.

Teri Jo turned 21 yesterday (tuesday) so monday we brought her out at about 11:30. Then me, brita and tj got all drunk and don't remember anything. Weird how that happened, monday night at an almost-empty bar, and we were alll drunk. Kinda embarrassing, actually. Oh well, she had a good 21st at least!

Upriver

Well we went upriver overnight and it was interesting. On the way out we decided to go to wrangell for dinner, jimmy edgars was all happy drunk and wanted to buy us dinner, but then he drove shawn's boat up on the flats. So we went to wrangell in the other boats to kill time waiting for the tide. When we got their boat off, matte drove us up on the flats. Me, him and mika spent a good 30 or 40 minutes pushing it as fast as we could becasue the tide was going out. We almost had to camp their for 12 hours, with nothing but beer and granola bars, but we made it. Good times had by all. The tubs are awesome.

Kitos/Public bashing of Zieak

Well, my exciting life has taken me to kitos two nights in a row. I need to get a hobby or two before I am a raging alcoholic. But it was good too, because thursday I got to see my cousins tonia and danny who i NEVER see, and last night i got to dance, and one with zieak so that, of course, made the whole night worthwhile :) He even played some Britney for me. I have one complaint, though and have to publicly bash him in order to encourage him to download some more britney: he doesn't have "baby one more time". WHAT THE HELL. That, hands down, is the best Britney song ever. Zieak, that is a huge disappointment; i'm ashamed. Over all, though, besides the occasional drama to deal with, it was a good time. Speaking of time, i am going to be late for work if i don't leave. I will update tomorrow when i get back from upriver; i'm going up this afternoon for the night. Mika has made us enough food to feed a small army, and we are gonna go sit in the tubs for awhile, so it should be fun.

At a loss

I have nothing to write about. Nothing at all. Geez, my life went from super cool to super lame in the span of, like, one day. Hopefully something exciting happens to me soon so i don't lose my loyal readers.

Home!

I'm home! I know, everyone is just jumping with joy. I get that all the time...yeah, right. Anyways, Petersburg is as exciting as ever. At least it's sunny, but i hear even that is going away soon. I did see Carli, one of my loyal readers, so that was excellent (thanks Carli). I start working thursday or friday, so that will give me something to do...until then, I am going to try to get tan while the sun is still here.

Spokane Sex Scandal

So, Spokane's mayor looks at gay porn online. Is this bad? I think I am missing a part of this report, because I turned the news on in the middle of the report, but it seems to me that if he wants to look at gay porn, let him look at gay porn. Whatever. But I must be missing part of this story...I need to watch the news more often.

Coming Home

Sorry it's been so long. I've been really busy: I went shopping, shopping some more, got my eyebrows waxed, went tanning twice...busy, busy life, I tell ya. Anyways, tomorrow I am coming home. I believe it is on the morning jet, so you should all come see me, and I expect that parade (Carli is in charge of that, with her band of small children). See you all tomorrow!

Sonics are Super

The Sonics advance!! WOOHOO!! For the first time in forever, the Supersonics are in round two of the NBA playoffs. I was going to go to the game but there were only two tickets left, in "obstructed view" area, and grandpa said, "There's a reason the game is sold out but those two tickets are still available. We're not going." Sad. Oh well, they won anyways. Let's see...what else is exciting....i get to go to the boeing salvage yard with my grandpa in an hour, and let me tell you, I am pumped. Oh yeah. Salvage some scrap metal, what could be better. Speaking of salvaging seemingly worthless stuff and turning it into cool stuff, now that i have a house in walla walla, you need to make me a cool table, Zieak. Thanks!

The Facebook, number two

For all those who don't know what the facebook is (zieak, carli, beth), it is www.thefacebook.com, where you sign up with a college email--so beth, you can do it with a PLU email, i think they are allowed (only certain colleges with enough interest are allowed--whitman just got added, we were originally too small, it is mostly state schools)--and you put in all this stuff about yourself and you get "friends" who you request or they request you. You can add people by searching your college, your high school (PHS has about 20 people signed up) or other places. I guess most people use it to search for and become "friends" with elementary/middle school people they lost track of, but of course in p-town you pretty much don't lost anyone. You can send messages to each other, email style, kind of, and all sorts of cool stuff. Anyways, that is what the facebook is. Now beth won't be such a cultural loser. You're welcome, beth :)

The Facebook

Really is as addicting as everyone says it is. i just joined at the bequest of my fellow sorority sisters, and i do believe i could kill hours on that thing if i let myself. LAME! I never wanted this. It's like Harry Potter; I spent two years refusing to read them because i didn't like "fantasy" but I gave in and now i am one of those rabid fans waiting for The Half-Blood Prince to come out this summer. I am a pathetic lemming.

Walla Walla

here i am in walla walla, back to school. but this time i am doing nothing and watching my friends panic right before finals, so it's great. Today was senior breakfast for my sorority, and now we are going to look for houses. We found one that is about a 15 minute walk from campus, which is unheard of for whitman, as this is extremely far. However, i realize this is ridiculous compared to any other school in the world, and 15 minutes is not bad for a nice 2 person HOUSE as opposed to tiny appartment, for $650 a month, so only $325 each (you see those math skills? i rock...) anyways, so we are going to keep looking but i think this may be it, TimTim's house. At least it is on "K" street; how can i turn that down?
