Vegas!

Well, I'm back in walla walla after a wild ten days. ok, wild 5 days, then a few days in seattle. last friday I flew to vegas and met matte, brita, jen, dyl, zieak, and cena (well the last two came a day later than me). we stayed at the Luxor, where our reservation was messed up so we got a suite for the week for the price of a normal room. sweet. the Luxor was awesome. The boys played a lot of poker (i watched) and the girls stuck to slots, with the exception of cena, who actually is good enough to play real poker. we walked all over the strip and went to a show that was imitators of american stars (we saw britney, christina, michael, tim mcgraw and elvis). we went to the top of the stratosphere and went on the big shot, the ride that goes straight up into the sky--it was scary! zieak and matte went on the one that shoots you off the side so it looks like you are gonna plummet into the street below, and said it was the scariest ride they had ever been on. we bought some of the pictures that the ride takes, where you look like an idiot. well, i look like an idiot. dylan bought one of the water ride at the adventuredome just cause i look like such a freak. speaking of the adventuredome, dyl and I got sick on the spongebob ride. how sad/embarrassing is that. it was a virtual ride that was just too much, and we had to vacate in the middle, which stopped the ride and turned it all off and the little kids weren't too pleased with us. hmmm oh we also hit two strip clubs, the Spearmint Rhino and one the next night that i can't remember the name of (the first one was better, overall). Zieak bought me a lapdance at both. my first two lapdances. woohoo. matte bought me a spearmint rhino tank top so now i can look either like a stripper or a frequenter of the spearmint rhino, neither of which is probably desirable. oh well. i have a few pictures to post soon but i have to get a bunch from zieak. or he might post them too. and jennifer has a bunch too. check back later!

This is from a while ago, like september, but i just thought you should see all my hot friends. it's Caroline, Sara (my roomie), Jeannie, me, Maysa(roomie in italy), and Marya. Everyone always confuses Marya and I for each other even though i don't think we look alike. i guess dark hair and dark skin makes us twins...

College Visits

I just got back from dinner with Margaret and Brad Hunter. I got a last minute phone call tonight saying they were in town to look at Whitman so I met up with them. It was too darl to give them a tour, so we just went to dinner and I am meeting them in the morning to show them around. So that's cool, seeing P-town people here in walla walla. I hope Margaret goes here. It's a good school. It's weird to be showing her my campus, though, cause I babysat for her and her sister for years. weird.

This is my new theta family. well, the one on the far left is new, she's our new baby. the rest have been my family for a while. From left to right is Kristan (freshman), Kristin (soph), Erin (jr) and me (sr.) I am the matriarch! I have a great-grandbaby! ok, most people who aren't in a sorority think that's stupid. whatever, too bad for you.

Back to school

well, here i am again. in walla walla. doing homework. i was hoping that when i was at home i would wake up and realize it was christmas and i had a month to do nothing, which would have been great, but alas, no luck. the semester remains. oh well. this week isn't too bad actually. i'm sad i missed the p-town snow by one day though! I like snow. it doesn't do much of that here. in exciting news, i registered for next semester yesterday (my last semester!) and i am taking intermediate downhill skiing. yay! this takes place at bluewood, the exciting nearby ski resort with two whole lifts.

P-Town!

I'm home! weird! I'm never home this time of year. Grandma and I flew up here on the afternoon jet yesterday and then busted in on my mom's last hour class at the high school to surprise her. Surprisingly, we actually did surprise her. enough people knew that we had our doubts that it was still a secret. But we succeeded. Last night we just hung out and went to Northern Lights, the last remaining resaurant in town.....sad. No more Joan Mei. Tonight I might hang out with Krista and Rachel. This town is seriously dead in the winters, almost all my friends are at college. Tomorrow I will be keeping Cena company while Zieak DJs. that will be fun. It will be good to hang with Cena, too, since we are going to Vegas together. Funny thing about Cena, I feel like I know her really well, and as I thought about it, I realized we have actually spoken in person like three times, and one was taking a shot together at Kito's. She was my text message buddy all summer, kept me sane at my job. Funny.
